Horrible accident on the way to the park, father and daughter died after the car overturned in Nayanjuli

Arnav Das, Barasat: Another terrible road accident in Deganga in North 24 Parganas. On the way to the park with family and relatives, the car lost control and overturned in Nayanjuli. Death of father and daughter. The deceased have been identified as Habibar Mandal (42) and Nazmun Neha (17). Three others were injured. The tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the area adjacent to Chatar Bill on Bira-Badar Road of Habra Police Station.

According to local and family sources, Habibar went to his relative Razzak Mandal’s house in Kazipara, Barasat on Tuesday with his daughter Nazmun. After lunch, Habibar was driving his daughter and relative Razzak and his two sisters to a park in Rautara area of Habra. Razzaq was driving the car. While traveling along the Bira-Badar road, the vehicle lost control and fell into the Nayanjuli on the side of the road at Bill area of Chatar. Hearing the sound, the local residents rushed. They started rescue work. The news goes to the police.

Razzak’s two sisters got out of the car after the accident. They were slightly injured. After that, Habibar, Nazmun and Razzak were rescued by breaking the car window and taken to Barasat Medical College Hospital. Doctors declared them dead. Razzak admitted to hospital in critical condition. The remaining two injured were released after first aid. Moidul Mandal, the relative of the deceased, said, “On this day, the grandfather went to the relative’s house with his daughter. On the way to the park from there, a car overtook their Maruti van and hit them. That’s when the grandfather’s car lost control and fell into the water.”
