Mustafiz showed surprise today in the first over

Sports Desk: Chennai Super Kings have given Lucknow Super Giants a mountain run. However, Mustafiz showed surprise in the first over! Lucknow skipper Lokesh Rahul was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman while batting. The Bangladeshi pacer sent the Lucknow captain to the sack in his first over. The cutter master gave only 4 runs in that over.

Chennai and Lucknow take to the field in the 39th match of IPL on Tuesday (April 23) at 8 pm. After losing the toss and batting first, Chennai lost 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and collected 210 runs. In reply, Lucknow lost 2 wickets to score 33 runs.

In response to 211 runs, Lucknow opener Quinton de Kock was dismissed by Deepak Chahar in the first over. And another opener and team captain Lokesh Rahul was sent to the dressing room by Mustafiz.

Chennai captain Ruturaj Gaikwad gave the ball to Mustafiz in the fifth over. Rahul hit a four on the first ball of the over but kept his cool and picked up his wicket on the fourth ball. After giving two consecutive dot balls, Rahul went to hit the fourth ball frantically. But he was caught by Ruturaj who was standing in extra cover. Lucknow lost two wickets to score 33 runs.

On this day, Chennai got hit at the beginning of batting. Opener Ajinkya Rahane returned to Sajghar after scoring 1 run in just 3 balls. Darryl Mitchell, who was replaced by Rachin, did not go far. Yash Thakur scored 11 runs off 10 balls and returned with a catch in the hands of Deepak Hooda.

Ravindra Jadeja also did not do justice to the name in the Chennai jersey. He became a victim of Mohsin Khan by scoring only 16 runs off 19 balls. But Ruturaj was standing at one end. With his rampage, Chennai’s run-wheels moved forward at breakneck speed.

When Jadeja was out, Shivam Dube gave great support to captain Ruturaj. The pair of them got 104 runs off 46 balls. Chennai made a collection of 210 runs based on that. Mahendra Singh Dhoni ended the innings when Dube was dismissed for 66 off 27 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes.

Dhoni remained unbeaten with 4 runs off 1 ball. And Rutura remained unbeaten with 108 runs from 60 balls. The Chennai skipper hit 12 fours and 3 sixes. Matt Henry, Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur took 1 wicket each for Lucknow.
