A truck driver named Sohan alias Dipu was killed in a three-way collision between two trucks and an autorickshaw in Natore. Three people, including the autorickshaw driver and passenger, were seriously injured. The injured were rescued and admitted to Nato’s modern headquarters hospital.

The accident took place on Tuesday (April 23) morning in the Dattapara Bridge area of ​​Sadar Upazila.

Dipu is said to be a resident of Bara Haibatpur area of ​​Jessore district. The injured are – Yusuf Ali’s son Abdullah (25), Ismail Ali’s wife Razia Begum (40) and Hanif Ali’s wife Jahanara Zegum (50) of Diar Saturia village of Sadar Upazila. The home of the three injured is in Diyarsaturia village of Nator Sadar Upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Natore police station Abu Raihan confirmed the incident.

Quoting locals, the OC said that in the morning, a truck carrying stone from Banpara to Natore collided head-on with a truck carrying wheat coming from the opposite direction. At that time, a truck lost control and hit the passenger autorickshaw behind the other truck. The truck driver and the autorickshaw driver were injured. Later, the locals informed the police and fire service. On receiving the information, police station and highway police reached the spot with the help of locals and rescued the injured and took them to Natore Sadar Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared the truck driver Dipu dead. The injured are under treatment in hospital.
