A person named Alamgir Shikder (56) died on the street in Gulistan of the capital. Initially, it is believed that he died of heatstroke.

Today Tuesday (April 23) at around 11 o’clock, passers-by took the unconscious person to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Anwar Hossain, the passerby who brought him to the hospital, said that the person went down to Gulistan by bus through Hanif flyover bridge. At the top of the flyover, Gulistan got down in front of the toll plaza and was walking on the road. Then he fell ill and fell on the street. On seeing him, water was first poured on his head. However, seeing his condition worsened, the doctor rushed him to the hospital and declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Wari Police Station Shah Alam came to the hospital after receiving the news. He said that two pedestrians brought the person to the hospital. Through them came to know about the incident and also talked to the doctors. All in all, it is believed that he died of heatstroke due to overheating. His name was known from the NID card and various phone numbers in his pocket. His family has also been contacted.

Meanwhile, Alamgir Shikder’s friend Abbas Molla said that Alamgir’s family lives behind Jatrabari Kajla Petrol Pump. Worked in a printing house in Mirpur. He left home in the morning to go to Mirpur. Later I heard the news of his death over the phone.
