The UK has announced $620 million in military aid to Ukraine. This includes 400 warships, 60 boats, 1,600 weapons and 400,000 rounds of ammunition.
The UK shipment will also include long-range missiles, which can hit targets up to 240 kilometers away. The UK government has said its weapons are capable of hitting Russian targets.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelensky. At the time, Sunak confirmed the provision of military assistance to Zelensky. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the NATO defense ministers that they need air defense to prevent Russian attacks. For this he asked for the cooperation of NATO.
At the moment, Ukraine needs at least seven Patriot air defense systems to prevent Russia’s increasing air strikes, he said. This issue will determine whether Ukraine and NATO are allies. Zelensky told NATO defense ministers whether NATO countries are willing to provide more military assistance to troubled Ukraine. Based on the above, it will be determined who is the real ally.
Zelensky described the situation with Western aid as extremely limited. He also mentioned that Western countries continue to support Israel.
