Mysterious death of housewife in Nalchiti

Amin Hussain, Jhalkathi: [২] A housewife named Lamiya Khatun (22) died mysteriously in Nalchiti, Jhalkathi. In this incident, her husband Hriday Howladar has been detained by the police for preliminary questioning.

[৩] On Tuesday (April 23) morning, the police recovered his body from his father-in-law’s house in Subidpur village of Subidpur union of the upazila.

[৪] The deceased Lamiya Khatun is the daughter of Oli Howladar of the same union.

[৫] It is known that Lamiya Khatun, wife of Hriday Howladar, a resident of Subidpur Union of the upazila, fell ill around 2 o’clock on Monday and died before being taken to the hospital.

[৬] Oli Howladar, father of the victim, said that on Monday afternoon, my daughter called us and asked for money for her treatment. Later that night, my son-in-law called and told that the girl was very sick. He came to see that the girl was no longer alive. He also said, we have no doubt or complaint and we demand legal action according to what will come in the medical report.

[৭] Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchiti Police Station. Murad Ali said that the dead body of Lamiya Khatun was recovered and sent to Jhalkathi morgue for autopsy. In the preliminary investigation, no injury marks were found on the body of the deceased, the rest will be known after the post-mortem report.
