Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in the price of gold. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by Tk 3 thousand 138. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar has reduced to Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Chairman Masudur Rahman of Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 23). According to the organization, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new prices are effective from 4 PM today, April 23.

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290, 21 carat gold price is Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 995, 18 carat is Tk 95 thousand 143 and traditional gold price is Rs. It will be 76 thousand 586 taka.

Meanwhile, the price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat price is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat price is 1715 taka and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 taka.
