Smugglers often adopt new methods to smuggle valuable assets like diamonds, gold etc. But the security guards were shocked to see the exploits of the smugglers caught at the Mumbai airport in the last three days. Some were trying to smuggle billions worth of gold and diamonds hidden in packets of noodles, others inside the body. But eventually caught the trick.

According to the Mumbai airport authorities, a huge amount of gold and diamonds were recovered from the suitcase of a passenger who came to catch a flight to Bangkok on Monday night. When the passenger’s suitcase was opened and checked, several packets of noodles were found. Diamonds and gold came out when the packet was cut.

Officials of the customs office said that 6 kg 800 grams of gold was recovered from the passenger. The market value of which is around four and a half crore rupees. Apart from this, diamonds worth more than two crore rupees have also been recovered. A total of four people have been arrested by the police in this incident.

On the other hand, a foreign national was trying to enter India with 321 gram gold bars in his body on a flight from Colombo to Mumbai. But he was caught by the security guards when he landed at the Mumbai airport. Questions are being raised in various quarters as such incidents are coming to light in these few days. Investigating officers are trying to solve the mystery of trafficking by interrogating the arrested.
