The price of gold has decreased in the country’s market. The new price of gold has been fixed due to the reduction in the price of pure gold in the local market. This decision was taken at the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring meeting of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 23). Gold will be sold at this price from 4 pm today.

The price of the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been reduced by Tk 3 thousand 138 from Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 to Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290.

With the announcement on April 18, the price of one bar of good quality gold was fixed at Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 638 from that day. It broke all previous records and created a new record for the highest price of gold. A new record was created on that day by increasing the price in a single day. Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee meeting on Tuesday decided to reduce the price of gold. Later this information was informed in a press release signed by the chairman of the committee, Masudur Rahman.

According to the notification, the price of acidic gold has decreased in the local market. Therefore, considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Jewelery Association has decided the new price of gold, which will be effective from 4 pm on Tuesday (April 23).

According to the new price, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 3,137 to Tk 1,16,290. The price of 21 carat gold has been reduced by 3 thousand 10 taka to 1 lakh 10 thousand 994 taka. Besides, the price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by 2 thousand 566 taka to 95 thousand 143 taka. However, the traditional gold price has been reduced by 2 thousand 76 taka to 76 thousand 586 taka.
