Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold in the country’s market. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by Tk 3 thousand 138. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar is decreasing by 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 23).
According to the notification, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold is fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new price will be implemented from 4 pm today, Tuesday.
According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 995, 18 carat is Tk 95 thousand 143 and traditional method gold price is Rs. It will be 76 thousand 586 taka.
The price of gold has increased but the price of silver has remained unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat price is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat price is 1 thousand 715 taka and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 taka.
Earlier, Bajus had increased the price of gold on 6, 8 and 18 of this April. Out of this, it was increased by Tk 1,750 on April 6, Tk 1,750 on April 8 and Tk 2,650 on April 18. Later, on April 20, after a day of reduction of Tk 840, on April 21, Bajus again increased the load by Tk 630. After that, within 48 hours, Bajus announced to reduce the stock of good quality gold by 3138.
