After fluctuating several times, the price of pure gold in the local market has decreased slightly, according to Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS). The new price is the lowest gold price this year.
This decision was taken in the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring meeting of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 23), according to a press release of BAJUS.

According to the new prices, the price of good quality gold or 22 carats (11.664 grams) has decreased by 3 thousand 137 taka to 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. Its previous price was 1 lakh 19 thousand 427 taka.
Taking into consideration the overall situation in the meeting, it was unanimously decided to set the price of gold and silver in the Bangladesh market at the following rate from 4 pm today (April 23).
According to the notification, the price of 22 carat cadmium (hallmarked) gold per gram is Tk 9,970 in the country’s market. 21 carat cadmium (hallmarked) gold price per gram is 9 thousand 516 taka. 18 carat cadmium (hallmarked) gold price per gram is 8 thousand 157 taka. The price of gold per gram of traditional method is 6 thousand 566 taka.
However, the price of silver remains unchanged. 22 carat cadmium (hallmarked) silver price per gram is Rs.180. 21 carat cadmium (hallmarked) silver is priced at Tk 172 per gram. 18 carat cadmium (hallmarked) silver price per gram is Tk 147. The cost of traditional method is Rs 110 per gram of silver.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has specifically requested all jewelers in Bangladesh to sell gold and silver at the stated price until further notice.
