Gold prices in the country fell again within 48 hours of rising. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of good quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold by Tk 3,138. This price has been effective from 4 pm today, Tuesday (April 23).
According to Bajus, from 4 pm today, the price of a 22 carat gold bar has been set at 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka, which was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka per bar of the same quality. At the same time, this price has been reduced in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market.
From now on, the price of 22 carat gold per gram is Tk 9,970, the price of 21 carat gold is Tk 9,516 per gram and the price of 18 carat gold is Tk 8,157 per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional system is 6 thousand 566 taka, which in the last 48 hours was fixed at 10 thousand 239 taka per gram of 22 carat gold, 9 thousand 774 taka per gram of 21 carat gold and 8 thousand 377 taka per gram of 18 carat gold. . The price of traditional gold per gram is 6 thousand 788 taka.
Although the price of gold has increased, there is no change in the price of silver. Therefore, today as before, the price of 22 carat silver is 180 taka per gram, 21 carat silver price is 172 taka per gram and 18 carat silver price is 147 taka per gram. The cost of traditional method is Rs 110 per gram of silver.
