Mymensingh: Mymensingh Phulpur upazila in heat stroke. A handicraft worker named Ramzan Ali (68) has died.

The death occurred in Imatpur village of Koira Union number 6 of the upazila on Tuesday (April 23) afternoon.

Deceased Ramzan Ali was a resident of Bagirpara village of Kakani Union number 3 of Tarakanda Upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulpur police station. Mahabubur Rahman confirmed the truth of this death.

Former UP member of ward number 9. Tariqur Rahman Khandaker Rashed said that Ramzan Ali used to work as a handicraft worker in the village by cutting the shilpata of the spice mill. As usual this morning he left home for work and went to Imatpur in the neighboring Phulpur Upazila. While working there, he died of heat stroke in the afternoon in the intense heat.

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Humayan Kabir told BanglaNews that Ramzan Ali died before reaching the hospital. However, the exact cause of his death is not known. He is believed to have died of heatstroke due to overheating.
