The court sentenced two people to life imprisonment for killing a garage mason named Kamal Fakir (29) in Faridpur. Apart from this, each has been fined Tk 10,000 and sentenced to another three months imprisonment without labor.
On Tuesday (April 23) around 1.30 pm, Faridpur Additional District and Sessions Judge Court Judge Shihabul Islam gave the verdict. The accused were present in the court when the verdict was announced.
Those sentenced are Jewel Matubbar (40) son of Baburchar area of Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur and son of Alam Howladar of Ramchandrapur area of Jhalkathi. Saim Howladar (25).
State counsel (PP) Advocate Md. Chanwar Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said that in October 2020, Jewel Matubbar and Mohd. The court sentenced two people named Saim Howladar to life imprisonment.
