Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set the price of one bar of 22 carat gold at 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 after two days of price increase.
Bajus said in a notification on Tuesday that the new price will be effective from 4 pm today.
According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold per bar (11.664 grams) will be 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. Apart from this, the price of gold has been set at 1 lakh 10 thousand 995 taka per 21 carat, 95 thousand 143 taka per 18 carat and 76 thousand 586 taka per traditional method.
Earlier, on April 21, Bajus had increased the price of 22 carat gold by 630 rupees to 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 rupees. Apart from this, the price of gold was fixed at 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 709 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 662 taka per traditional method. Which was effective from 3.30 pm that day.
And on April 20, Bajus set the price of a 22 carat gold bar of the best quality at 1 lakh 18 thousand 798, reducing it by 840 taka. And 1 lakh 13 thousand 397 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 196 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 242 taka per traditional method, the price of gold decreased again in two days.
