Government has no initiative to stop border killings: Rizvi

Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government has no initiative to stop border killings. He made this comment at a press conference at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital.

Meanwhile, Rizvi complained that BSF is killing innocent people on the border every day. However, the government has not taken any action to stop the killing of unarmed people. He also said that BNP leaders and workers are being tortured constantly by the workers of Awami League affiliates. He also alleged that opposition leaders and activists are being oppressed to seize power. Rizvi said that BNP expressed deep concern and condemned the beating of two brothers in Faridpur. The party has formed a committee for fair and impartial investigation.
