Police recovered the hanging body of a student in Tongi, Gazipur. The incident took place at Morkun Tekpara area of ​​Tongir at around 6:30 am on Tuesday.

The dead student’s name is Subarna Akhtar (20). She is the daughter of Shah Alam of Morkun area of ​​Tongir.

On receiving the information, Police Deputy Inspector (SI) Mizanur Rahman recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital Morgue in Gazipur for autopsy.

According to the police quoting the family, Subarna passed the Higher Secondary Examination from BF Shaheen College in Dhaka. Then he participated in various university entrance exams and failed. Suvarna fell asleep in her room on Monday night. Next day, Tuesday morning, Subarna’s mother Sabina Yasmin called her. At this time Subarna did not get any response and called the people around. Later the door of the room was broken and the dead body was found hanging with the veil wrapped around the ceiling fan of the room and information was sent to the police. Later, the police recovered the body and brought it to the police station.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tongi East Police Station. Mustafizur Rahman said, the body has been sent to Gazipur morgue for autopsy. A wrongful death case will be filed at the police station in this incident.
