While swimming in the swimming pool of the University of Dhaka on Monday, the 1st year student of the undergraduate program of the University’s philosophy department said. The university administration has formed an inquiry committee to identify the cause of Sohad Haque’s death and submit a report.
University proctor professor Dr. Md. Professor Maksudur Rahman as convener and assistant proctor. Md. A 5-member investigation committee has been formed with Abdul Muhit as member-secretary.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) engaged in the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University. Muhammad Samad formed this committee.
Other members of the committee are – Chairman of Philosophy Department Professor Dr. Mustafa Abululayi of Shah Kawsar, Syndicate Member of the University and Associate Professor of Information Science and Library Management Department Mohammad Sharif Ul Islam and Assistant Professor of Bengali Department and Resident Teacher of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall. Jasim Uddin.
The committee has been requested to complete the investigation and submit a report to the university authorities within the next seven working days identifying whether there is any negligence/error in the management of the swimming pool.
