Death of a pedestrian in the capital due to heat illness

A pedestrian named Alamgir Shikder (56) suddenly fell ill while walking on the side road of Wari Gulistan Toll Plaza in the capital. Later, when he was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared him dead.

This incident happened on Tuesday (April 23) around 10 am.

Pedestrian who brought Alamgir to the hospital. Anwar Hossain said that Alamgir suddenly fell ill while walking by Gulistan Toll Plaza. Later, he was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical Hospital and pronounced dead by the doctor.

Brother of the deceased. Rabiul Alam Shikder said that after receiving the news, they came to Dhaka Medical and saw the brother. He died due to heatstroke. Alamgir used to work in a press in Jatrabari’s Kajla area.

He also said that their house is in Nayanagar area of ​​Kajla West Shibir of Jatrabari. Father’s name is Zamir Shikdar. He has three sons and one daughter.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp in-charge Bachchu Mia confirmed the death and said that the body has been kept in the morgue. The exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy. The matter has been informed to the concerned police station.
