One person died due to excessive heat in the capital

There is intense fire all over the country including the capital Dhaka. Many people are getting sick. This time a pedestrian named Alamgir Sikder (56) died due to intense heat near Gulistan Toll Plaza in Warri of the capital. He used to work as a binder in a printing press.

This incident happened around 10 am on Tuesday. He was rescued in an unconscious state and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 11:15 a.m. The doctor on duty declared him dead after examination.

Wari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shah Alam confirmed the matter and said that it is believed that he might have died of heatstroke. Quoting people around the scene, he said, the man left the house for work. Gulistan was walking down the car at the toll plaza. At that time, he fell down and was rescued unconscious by the people around him and taken to the emergency department of DMK Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

The SI also said that following the written request of the family, the body has been handed over to the relatives without post-mortem.

Rabiul Alam, the younger brother of the deceased, said that his brother used to work as a binder in a printing press. Deceased Alamgir is a permanent resident of Dhaka’s Dakshin Kajla Naya Nagar Jatrabari. His father’s name is Zamir Sikdar. He is the father of three sons and a daughter.
