It is well known that Khaleda Zia was imprisoned in a false case

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, said that the fact that Khaleda Zia was imprisoned in a false case for political purposes to keep her away from politics is well known in the country and abroad. It is mentioned in the United States Human Rights Report. The report expressed deep concern about the horrific human rights violations in Bangladesh, including disappearances, murders, assassinations and prison torture. It has also been said that the right of citizens to change the government through free and fair elections has been taken away.

Rizvi said this in a press conference at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Tuesday (April 23).

Alleging that laws are implemented in this country at the will of the Prime Minister, Rizvi said that all laws, including conventional criminal and civil, should be implemented according to Sheikh Hasina’s version. After the January 7 dummy election, Sheikh Hasina became the sole ruler of Bangladesh.

Even though the international community is shocked by the severity of imprisonment and oppression of lakhs of leaders and activists including Khaleda Zia, the main leaders of the country’s opposition parties, the Prime Minister does not care about it.

Pointing out that the responsibility for the killing of BSF jawans lies with the Awami government, he said that the BSF is getting exposure due to their knee-jerk policy. Yesterday also, a Bangladeshi youth named Hasan Mia was killed by Indian border guard forces at Putia border of Kasba upazila under Brahmanbaria district. The blood stains on the border are not drying.

Commenting that the border is always wet with the blood of Bangladeshi people, he further said that BSF is like a ruthless sword of torture and death. All they have is the joy of killing. And the occupying Awami government has formed its own army with the law enforcement forces and Jubo League-Chatra League cadres and is constantly conducting eighty-six operations against the people of its own country.

Rizveer alleged that the Awami government, obsessed with power, could not even utter a word against the role of Bargi in BSF. He said that the neighboring country India is the ‘like-minded friend’ of the current dummy government.
