Faridpur: Various information is coming out during the interrogation of bus driver Khokon Mia, who was arrested in connection with the death of 15 people in the collision between a passenger bus and a pickup van in Faridpur. He admitted to RAB that he does not have a professional driving license.

Have light vehicle driving license. He has been driving heavy vehicles for 13 years with this license. If someone stopped him, Khokon would cross there with money and in various ways.

Lt. Commander KM Shaikh Akhtar, company captain of CPC-3 Faridpur camp of RAB-10, gave this information while talking to BanglaNews. He said, Khokon Mia claimed during the interrogation that he had never caused an accident in these 13 years, the first accident happened at Dignagar in Faridpur. 15 people died in the accident.

The accident took place at Dignagar in Kanaipur on the Faridpur-Khulna highway at around 8 am on April 16. Then the bus driver Khokon ran away. That night, a case was filed at Kotyali police station, making him the sole accused. Later, RAB-10 raided and arrested Khokon Mia from Chandpur area on April 21 at noon in Jhenaidah court. A press conference was held on Monday (April 22) around 11:30 a.m. regarding his arrest.

Lieutenant Commander KM Shaikh Akhtar told BanglaNews that Khokon Mia was driving the bus continuously on the day of the road accident. Sometimes he could rest only for an hour. On April 15, the day before the accident, he took a bus from Jibannagar in Chuadanga at around 9 pm and reached Gabtali in Dhaka at 3 am. After resting for an hour there, the bus left Gabtali for Jeevannagar at 4 in the morning. On the way, his bus collided with a pickup van at Diknagar area of ​​Kanaipur in Faridpur. 15 people were killed in this incident.

This RAB official said, how logical it was to force the bus to run with drivers in this way, the bus owner will also look into this issue.

Shaikh Akhtar, citing interrogation, said that the ownership of the bus that Khokon was driving of Unique Paribahan was sold three times, but the registration was in the name of the first owner. Those who bought ownership of the bus later did not re-register.
