A policeman named Mohammad Shah-Alam (50) died of heat stroke in Baufall of Patuakhali. He was working in the Dhaka Intelligence Branch (DB) of the police.

It is known that last Saturday (April 20) he came to the village house Baufal on vacation. He fell ill suddenly on Monday (22 April) around 9 pm. He was taken to Baufal Hospital while ill and from there he was sent to Barisal He died in the night while undergoing treatment at Barisal Sher-i-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

Shimu Akhter, the daughter of the deceased, said that the doctor told them that he died of heat stroke.

In this regard, Baufal Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Prashant Kumar Saha said that he came to the hospital with respiratory problems. He also said that he was sent to Barisal for first aid as his condition deteriorated.
