Motorcyclist killed by truck in Natore

A motorcyclist named Ilyas Hossain Roni (30) was killed after being hit by a truck in Singra, Natore. At this time, a rider named Munna (35) was injured. Injured Munna was rescued and admitted to Singra Upazila Health Complex.

The accident took place at Jolarbata area of ​​Singra Upazila on the Natore-Bogra highway on Monday (22 April).

The deceased motorcycle rider Elias Hossain is the son of Ismail Hossain of Kakian village of Roni upazila. The injured Munna is Roni’s cousin.

Eyewitnesses said that a mini truck was going towards Bogra from Natore around 4 pm on Monday. When the truck reached Jolarbata area, at the same time Ilyas Hossain Roni was climbing the highway from the side road of Jolarbata from the direction of Singra Damdama. Ilyas Hossain Roni was going on the highway with his motorcycle when the truck crushed his motorcycle. Elias Hossain Roni was killed on the spot.

At that time Roni’s cousin Munna who was with him was seriously injured. Munna was rescued by local residents and quickly admitted to Singra Upazila Health Complex. After the accident, the truck driver abandoned the truck and ran away. The police recovered the body and the accident truck and brought it to Singra police station.
