Dhaka: For the past few days, the heatwave is sweeping across the country including the capital. This summer sun and the heat of the ordinary people are gasping.

In such a situation, the demand for dub has increased in the capital. However, the demand increases in summer and the price also increases. In the last few days, the price of each piece of dubbing has increased by Tk 20-40 depending on the size.

On Monday (April 22), this image can be seen by visiting Khamarbari, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Panthpath, Kalabagan, Dhanmondi 32, Shukrabad in the capital.

On the surface, you can see dubbing shops sold by vans on the sidewalks in various markets and roads. Currently, large-sized dubbing is being sold at 150 to 160 taka per piece, which was 100 to 120 taka even before this scorching summer. Medium sized dubbs are being sold for Tk 120 to Tk 140. And small size dubs are selling for 90 to 100 taka. However, very small-sized dubbing was seen to be sold at 80 to 100 taka in the caravan market. But even last month the price of these dubs was lower by 20-40 taka.

The sellers said that the demand for dub in the capital has increased due to the intense heat of the last few days. But there is no supply compared to that. Due to which the price of dubbing has increased in the wholesale market. And this has affected the retail market as well.

Masum sells dabs on the opposite side of Square Hospital in Panthpath of the capital. He said, I bought it from the wholesale market for 120 rupees per piece. Then again there are transportation costs. Some dubs are short. I am selling it for 150 rupees. During fasting, I sold this same size dub for 80-90 taka. Due to the heat, the price of dubbing is high.

Abdul Aziz sold the dub at Panthpath Signal. He said that the demand for dubbing has increased but the supply has not increased. Due to which the supply of Dub in the market is less. So the price is high. There is no opportunity to reduce the price of Dub before the heat subsides. Rather, it may increase.

Buyers have expressed dissatisfaction with the increase in the price of dubbing. They complain that businessmen are only waiting for opportunities. They increase the price when they get a chance.

A student named Ashiq said while eating a dub at Panthpath intersection, he bought a medium-sized dub for 120 taka. This dub was 80-90 taka a few days ago. There is no doubt that the price will suddenly increase. Traders actually syndicate and raise prices.

He came to visit a relative in a hospital on Green Road. Ibrahim Three of them came down from the hospital to call. Although everyone wants to eat one dab, three people eat one dab because of the price. Ibrahim said, 80-90 taka dubbed became 140-150 taka as soon as it got hot. As if the traders were waiting for an opportunity to increase the price. This syndicate is killing the common man. Three people have to eat a dub!
