Mumbai Indians’ wait for a win in Jaipur continued as Rajasthan Royals registered a clinical win against the five-time champions in match 38 of the Indian Premier League 2024. Yasaswi Jaiswal scored his second goal as both sides faced MI on Monday, with Sawai Mansingh taking on RR. Led to a comfortable 9-wicket win over Mumbai at the Stadium.

MI have not beaten RR in Jaipur since 2012 and their wait will continue for another year as they were beaten by the hosts. Royals were great for Mumbai that day. MI suffered an early setback losing four wickets in the first eight overs. Trent Boult keep doing what he does. Rohit Sharma again finds the opening wicket form. Sandeep Sharma takes two before Yuzvendra Chahal reaches his landmark 200th wicket.

Nehal Wadhera and Tilak Verma struck for the visitors. They posted a score of 99 to take MI 52/4 to 151, but Nehal fell one run short of 50. But Tilak batted and scored 65 runs. MI struggled to finish the match, with Sandeep taking three wickets in the last over to get the better of their opponents.

Yasswi Jaiswal smashes the second IPL ton

It was a special day for Yasswi Jaiswal as she finally got her mojo back. After consistently scoring low and not scoring more than a fifty this season, Jaiswal returned to form in spectacular fashion and smashed many. He achieved so many scores before the age of 23 and became the youngest player to score two centuries in the IPL.

Jaiswal scored 59 centuries and picked up four match-winning balls with the bat. Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 104 off 60 balls. He hit seven sixes and nine fours and took RR home with 9 wickets and 8 balls to spare.
