India today is sitting like a stone on the chest of the people of Bangladesh — Farooq

Staff Reporter: Adviser to BNP Chairperson Zainal Abdin Farooq said that India’s product boycott movement will continue, we are not against the people of India, we are against India’s aggression.

He said these things in front of the National Press Club yesterday in a human chain demanding the boycott of Indian products and the caretaker government. Zainul Abedin Farooq said, the state power of the independent country which we made independent by war is being used on the people of this country today. India, which I thought of as a friend during the war of independence, today is sitting like a stone on the chest of the people of Bangladesh.

He further said that if you love Bangladesh then why are you supporting the illegal power of this illegal government. Why are you helping to carry out undemocratic aggression? India’s product boycott movement is ongoing and will continue. We are not against the people of India, we are against India’s aggression, because you have helped to strangle the democracy of this country.

Alleging that the government of Bangladesh is using state power to torture the people, this leader of BNP said that the people of the country will not accept that you will kill democracy and torture the opposition.

He also said that you talk about the spirit of liberation war, you have fought in any sector, tell it in front of the people of the country once. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader is a big party leader, his words should be moderate. I want to say to Awami League, you cannot wipe out BNP.
