A four-year-old child, Humaira, who came for fever treatment at Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex in Comilla, died. He died while undergoing treatment at Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex around 5 pm on Sunday.
Humaira is the daughter of Sohag Hossain Sumon and Jannat Akhtar of Panti village in Babutipara union of Muradnagar upazila.

Humaira’s mother Jannat Akhtar told reporters that Humaira developed fever at 9 am on Sunday. He was taken to Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex around 2 pm. At that time, the doctor on duty admitted Humaira to the third floor of the hospital. After admission, a doctor gave an injection in Humaira’s back. After applying canola to the hand, he gave two injections through it.
He also said that Humaya did not open her eyes even after giving the injection, so she went to the doctor’s room and asked her to take a look. But the doctor misbehaved with him and said, if you can, take him to Comilla. You understand too much.
Later, a doctor named Sharmin Akhter asked to get Humaira’s ECG. For this, when he was taken to a clinic outside, the doctor said that the child was dead.
Later Humaira was again brought to the health complex. At that time, doctor Sharmin Akhtar avoided the issue of Humaira’s death and asked her to be taken to Comilla as soon as possible.
Jannat Akhtar said, they killed my daughter by wrong injection. It is murder. I want justice for my daughter’s murder.
Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex resident doctor Dr. Sirajul Islam Manik told the media that as far as I heard, the child had high fever since morning. He had several seizures since morning. That is why he may die. But the doctors will be investigated whether there is any mistake or not.
Additional Secretary (Hospital Division) of the Ministry of Health and Family Planning, Mohammad Wahiduzzaman, told the media that he came to know about the matter immediately.
