Sonargaon Police has arrested Gazi Awlad Hossain, the main accused in the case of kidnapping and attempted murder of Corona fighter Sanaullah Bepari in Sonargaon, Narayanganj.

He was arrested on Monday afternoon in Mubarakpur area of ​​Baidyerbazar Union. The arrested Gazi Awlad Hossain is the son of late Gazi Abu Taleb, the former Acting Chairman of Baidyorbazar Union. The arrested Gazi Awlad will be sent to Narayanganj court on Tuesday morning. Sonargaon police station has 15 cases against the arrested Gazi Awlad, including assault on police and torture of women, riots.

It is known from the complaint filed at Sonargaon police station that the son of Tofazzal Hossain of Mamrakpur village of Baidyerbazar union of the upazila is Corona warrior Md. There was a conflict between Chanaullah Bepari and Gazi Awlad, son of Gazi Abu Taleb, former acting chairman of Baidyerbazar Union Parishad, over sand filling. On April 4, around 11:30 p.m., he was called from his home due to hostilities. He was beaten to death by taking him to a place on the banks of the Meghna river which flows by the side of Mubarakpur village. At one point, the mobile phone recorded a video saying that he had gone there to commit a robbery at gunpoint. In this incident, Sanaullah Bepari filed a complaint accusing the three brothers at Sonargaon police station that night. After the complaint, the video recorded on the mobile phone was spread on social media by the arrested Gazi Awlad Hossain. The police received a case in Sonargaon police station on April 15 in this incident. On Monday afternoon, Sonargaon Thana police raided the area and arrested the main accused, Gazi Awlad.

According to the local people, Sanaullah Bepari delivered the treatment, food and medicines to people affected by corona during the corona period. The bodies of 63 people who died due to corona in Sonargaon were buried. They called him in a business dispute and tried to kidnap him and kill him. At one point, the video recording of the confession that he went to commit a robbery is disgraceful.

Sonargaon police station OC SM Kamruzzaman PPM said that the main accused in the kidnapping and attempted murder case has been arrested. He will be sent to court on Tuesday. Several cases have been registered in the police station against the arrested.
