If you want to market different parts of the state, the current retail price of potato in Tinchukia district is 25-28 taka per kg. The wholesale market price of potato is 21 taka per kg. Silchar’s wholesale price of potato is 30 taka per kilo, while retail potato is selling at 35 taka per kilo.
The current wholesale market price of Dibrugarh potato is 20.50 taka. The retail price of potato is 25-30 taka. Ifa is the leading potato producing district in Assam, the retail price of potato per kilogram is as high as 15 to 17 taka. Unlike last year, this time the price has increased to 25 taka.
The retail price of Agra potato per kg in Jorhat market is 30 taka. Anhand Nachik potato is sold at 30-35 taka per kg. As a result of this sudden price increase, all the housewives are in danger. Ministers, leaders are all busy with election campaigning, but the ordinary people are bearing the burden of the price increase.
