3 people killed in road accident in Chittagong and Sirajganj

3 people were killed and 7 injured in road accidents in Chittagong and Sirajganj. In Shahjadpur of Sirajganj, the roof of a passenger bus flew off after losing control and hitting a tree on the side of the road. One passenger was killed and 7 were seriously injured. The condition of three of them is critical.

The accident took place at Tetyarkandi area of ​​Bogra-Nagarbari highway around 6:30 am. Monirul Islam, Inspector of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, said that the speeding bus on the ‘C’ line from Pabna to Dhaka lost control and collided with a tree on the side of the highway at Tetiarkandi area of ​​the highway. The entire roof of the bus blew off. Police rescued 8 people with the help of locals and sent them to Shahjadpur Upazila Hospital where Al Shamim died. Out of the remaining 7 injured, 3 are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, two youths lost their lives in a collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw in Chittagong’s Boalkhali. The accident happened in the morning at Shakpura Raikhali Bridge in the upazila. According to the police, two passengers of the auto-rickshaw died on the spot when the truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the Shakpura-bound auto-rickshaw.
