A student of Dhaka University (DU) died after taking a bath in the swimming pool of Physical Education Center. His name is Muhammad Sawad (19). He was a first year student of Philosophy and a resident student of Mohsin Hall.
He was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College on Monday (April 22) at around 2:30 p.m. The doctor on duty declared him dead.
Two students named Sohag and Sagar who were present at the scene said that because of the heat, we went to take a bath with our friends in the central swimming pool of Dhaka University around noon. Sudden drowned while swimming. Later, he was rescued and brought to Dhaka Medical, when the doctor on duty declared him dead around 2:30.
Inspector in charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp. Bachchu Mia said that the body has been kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s emergency department morgue. The matter has been informed to the concerned police station.
