Two BNP leaders in jail in Lalmonirhat murder case

The court ordered two BNP leaders to be denied bail and sent to jail in the case of the murder of Jahangir, the joint general secretary of the Load-Unload Sramik Union of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila during the strike called by BNP.
The court has ordered to send district BNP Joint General Secretary and former Sadar Upazila Chairperson AKM Mominul Haque and Sadar Upazila Chaedl convener Jahangir Khan to jail without granting bail in the murder case of Sramik League leader discussed in Lalmonirhat.
The District Magistrate gave the order on Monday (April 22) around 12 noon.
Earlier in the afternoon in Lalmonirhat extra session judge Mizanur Rahman’s court, BNP 9 accused in the murder case of Sramik League leader Jahangir Alam surrendered to the court and applied for bail, but the court did not grant bail to two people.
It is known that many people including labor leader Jahangir were injured in the clash called by BNP and Jamaat on October 29. Later he died under treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
3 days after the said incident, on Wednesday (November 1) afternoon, the case was filed at Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station, naming 81 people and 300 to 400 unknown people.
