Conference of Swachip Chittagong today 21 April, 2024

The conference of the Chittagong District and Chittagong Medical College (CHAMEC) branches was held in 2006. After that, the conference was not held due to the legal complications of the case. As a result, new leadership was not created. Many leaders were deprived. However, after 18 years, the conference will be held today (Monday) at Chamek Shah Alam Biruttam Auditorium. Various activities are going on in Chamek and hospital campuses around the conference. In 2006 Dr. Sheikh Shafiul Azam convener and Dr. Md. Swachip Chittagong district committee made Sharif member secretary and Dr. Convenor and Dr. Mujibul Haque Khan. Chittagong Medical College branch was formed with Nasir Uddin Mahmud as member secretary. However, even though more than 18 years have passed, there has been no conference between the two branches. About 2 thousand 100 general and lifelong doctors of Swachip Chittagong district and Chamek branch are expected to participate in today’s conference. However, there are rumors among the doctors about the council – who is the president and general secretary of the two branches. Swachip Chittagong district convener Dr. Sheikh Shafiul Azam said, due to various reasons, Swachip Chittagong conference has not been held for a long time. The conference and council will be held today (Monday) as the existing complications are resolved. Swachip Central Committee Vice President Dr. Nasir Uddin Mahmud said that Swachip’s current central committee has held conferences in many districts of the country. Chittagong committee is also being held in continuation of this. In the council session, if the president and general secretary candidates are one, the immediate committee will be announced. It is known that the chief guest in today’s conference will be former member of parliament, presidium member of Awami League and president of BMA central committee. Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, president of Swachip Central Committee will be the special guest. Md. Jamal Uddin Chowdhury and Secretary General Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan Milon.
