3 people died in severe fire in Chuadanga

3 people died in Chuadanga in two days due to severe fire. Two people, including a woman, died of heat stroke and diarrhea. Many are sick and admitted to the hospital. Construction worker Siddique Ali died while undergoing treatment at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Sunday (21 April).

Siddique Ali (45) of old Bastpur village of Damurhuda upazila was working as a rod mason in Chuadanga town for two days. On Friday he fell seriously ill after suffering from diarrhea in the intense heat. He was then admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Saturday night. He died there around 1 pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a youth and a woman died of heatstroke in Chuadanga’s Damurhuda Upazila on Saturday when the temperature was 42.3 degrees. A woman named Morjina Khatun (60) died of heatstroke in Damurjuda Upzilla Sadar at around 3 pm on Saturday.

Deceased Marjina is the wife of Azim Uddin of Union Parishad Para of Khatun Upzilla Sadar.

Kamrul Islam Kamu, the son of the deceased Marjina Khatun, said that my mother (Marjina Khatun) suddenly fell ill due to excessive heat around 3 o’clock. At that time, we took her in the auto van to take her to Damurhuda Upazila Health Complex, she died.

Before this, Zakir Hossain (36) of the bordering Thakurpur village had a stroke while doing agricultural work in the field at around 7 am on Saturday. He died on the way to the hospital at around 8 am.

Moderate to severe and very severe heatwaves are sweeping over Chuadanga for the past few days. In this heat wave, heat alert has been issued in the district and miking has been going on for a week.

Jaminur Rahman, in-charge of Chuadanga First Class Meteorological Observatory, said that the highest temperature of the district was recorded at 42.2 degrees on Sunday (21). The district has been experiencing the highest temperature in the country for the past one week. HEAT ALERT IS OUT. During this, the temperature mercury rose to a maximum of 42.3. This situation will remain throughout the month of April. The temperature will increase.

Dr. Chuadanga Civil Surgeon. Sajjat ​​Hasan confirmed the death and said that till date 3 people have died due to heat stroke and diarrhea in this district. He urged everyone to follow the messages given by the health department at this time.

Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kissinger Chakma said, I had a disaster management meeting on Sunday. All have been instructed. As heat stroke occurs. So be careful. Along with that everyone should be careful with the resort especially agriculture, cattle and birds at the moment. He also said that miking is being done according to the information and instructions given by the Meteorological Department.
