A day after the price reduction, the price of one bar of 22 carat gold has been increased by 630 taka to 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka. This price has been effective since 3:30 pm on Sunday. This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS).
According to the notification, the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. In this situation, a meeting of Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Monitoring was held. Considering the overall situation in the meeting, the price of gold and silver in the country’s market was determined yesterday from 3:30 pm.
According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold per bar (11.664 grams) will be Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 428. Apart from this, the price of gold has been set at 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 709 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 662 taka per traditional method.
It is to be noted that last Saturday the best quality 22 carat gold was reduced by 840 taka to 1 lakh 18 thousand 798 taka. And 1 lakh 13 thousand 397 taka per load of 21 carat, 97 thousand 196 taka per load of 18 carat and 78 thousand 242 taka per load of traditional method were fixed. Which was effective from 3:30 pm that day.
