Bayezid tied hands and feet to kill a child, after 8 years the accused was caught

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) arrested Roni Akhter, the absconding accused who was sentenced to life in the case of murder of 12-year-old child Azim, in Bayezid police station area of ​​the city.

He was arrested on Saturday (April 20) around 9:30 pm in Gahira area of ​​Raujan upazila of the district.

Arrested Roni Akhtar is the wife of Ripon Mia of Haidkia village of Fatikchari upazila.

According to RAB, in 2016, the family of the victim’s 12-year-old child Azim and the accused Rony Akhter lived side by side in the same colony. When the child’s family went out for work, Roni Akhter would leave the house key. Rony Akhter stole a mobile from Azim’s house after leaving the key one day. Later the matter was settled locally.

One day the victim called Azim Rony Akhter’s son ‘thief’s son’. Asami was angry with Azim since then. Later, finding Azim alone, Roni Akhter hit him on the head. After that, he tied the child’s hands and feet with a veil, cut his throat with a bow and ran away. Shishoor family filed a murder case in Bayezid police station in the same year.

Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7. Nurul Abshar said that after the case was registered, the investigating officer filed a police report against the accused Roni Akhter in the learned court after a long investigation. After hearing the police report and the evidence of the witnesses in the case, the learned Court sentenced the accused Roni Akhtar to life imprisonment and issued the warrant.

He also said that he has been handed over to Phatikchari police station for taking further legal action against the arrested accused.
