The police recovered the body of a worker named Abdul Khalek (45) who was hanged with a fan of a branch office of Asha NGO in Niamatpur, Naogaon. He was working as an office assistant and cook at Asha (NGO) in Chhatra Bazar of Upazila.

Abdul Khalek is the son of deceased Shakhawat Ali of Bishnapur (Kharpa) area of ​​Chandannagar Union of Upazila. Branch Manager Abdullah Al Farooq confirmed that the incident happened on Sunday (July 21) around 11:30 am.

According to local, branch office and police sources, everyone in the office left in the morning to collect installments. Khalek comes to the office room after shopping for lunch. The branch manager came and called Abdul Khalek’s name again and again, but got no response. When he called on the mobile phone, even though the phone rang, he did not receive the phone. When he broke the door and entered with the locals, he found him hanging with a rope from the fan. Later, the owner of that building called Khalekuzzaman Tota and he asked him to come and take down the body. However, the locals expressed their anger as the hanging body was brought down before the police arrived. Later the police came and took the body into custody. Later Manda Circle (ASP) Zakirul Hossain Zakir and Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maidul Islam visited the spot.

In another incident, it was alleged that a farmer named Chandu Baski (51) committed suicide by hanging himself in anger and anger when his wife went to her father’s house due to an argument between husband and wife. The incident took place in Mohammadpur area of ​​Hajinagar union of the upazila around Saturday evening. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.

Niamatpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Maidul Islam said, the body of the NGO worker was recovered and taken to the police station. Preparations are underway to file a wrongful death case in this incident. A wrongful death case has been registered in the farmer’s death. The body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem.
