Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police’s Gulshan Division has arrested the killer involved in the hacking of Hasan Mahmud, a security guard working at the ATM booth of Madhumati Bank in Shahjadpur of the capital.
Various items including chapati used in the murder, hammer, chisel and saber used for breaking ATM booths have been seized.
On Sunday (April 21) night, he was arrested by the DB on the basis of secret information. However, the police did not initially reveal the name of the arrested person.

He said that on the eve of Eid (April 10) around 5:30 am, miscreants hacked to death the security guard Hasan Mahmud at the ATM booth of Madhumati Bank located on the ground floor of Maisha Chowdhury Tower in Shahjadpur. In this incident, Detective Gulshan Division arrested one person involved in the murder.
Additional Commissioner of Intelligence Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid will give details on this in a press conference organized at DMP Media Center on Monday (April 22) at noon.
