Barrister Khokon’s press conference today

Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, has been dismissed from the post of senior vice-president of the central committee of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum on charges of violation of party discipline. Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, president of the Supreme Court Bar, will give an official response in this regard by holding a press conference at noon today.

He will hold this press conference on Monday (April 22) at noon in the South Hall of the Supreme Court. Khokon’s follower and Supreme Court lawyer SM Zulfiqar Ali Junu told Dhaka Mail.

According to the notification, the Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers Forum nominates you to contest for the post of ‘President’ in the Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers Association elections held on March 6 and 7. Like the previous two years, the ruling party announced unprecedented vote fraud, rigging and rigged results in this election. Even two Awami League party candidates, first Nahid Sultana Junthi and then Shah Manurul Haq, were declared as the so-called winners. Terrorists outside the ruling party attacked the association’s auditorium on the morning of March 8 immediately after the elections, beating lawyers and looting ballot boxes. Although the incident took place between the supporters of the two secretary candidates of Awami League, a paid law officer of the government filed a false and harassing criminal case at Shahbagh police station last March 9 accusing the secretary candidate of Nationalist Lawyers Oikya Panel and three other lawyers forum leaders.

The notification also said that Barrister Osman Chowdhury, the Human Rights Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lawyers Forum serving in the Election Commission and the Senior Joint Secretary General of the organization, Barrister Md. Ruhul Quddus (Kajal) was arrested on March 9 and 10 respectively in the above-mentioned completely false and fabricated cases and remanded to DB office for 3 days and 4 days respectively. They both served two weeks in prison. Keeping them in jail, the so-called results were announced after staging a drama of counting the looted ballot papers on March 10.
