Two people, including an Indian national, died in separate accidents in Chittagong. An Indian citizen named Krunal Kumar Gajanand (35) died while working on a ship at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port.

The accident took place on Friday (April 19) around 12:00 pm. Krunal Kumar Gajanand hails from Gujarat, India. He was working on the Tristar Dugon.

According to port sources, the vessel was anchored in the Alpha outer anchorage area under Patenga police station. Crewman Kumar accidentally fell while working on the ship. He fell from the top of the ship and hit his head. Later he was rescued and taken to the Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Chamek Hospital Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Nur Alam Ashek said the body of the Indian citizen has been kept in Chamek Hospital’s morgue.

Meanwhile, in another accident, Md fell from a three-storey building while painting a new building in Andarkilla Rajapukur Lane area of ​​the city. A laborer named Jahangir (48) died.

The incident happened on Sunday (April 21) at 11:30 am. Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Nurul Alam Ashek said that while painting the building, a worker fell from the top of the three-storey building and was seriously injured. Later, when he was brought to Chamek Hospital, the doctor declared him dead.
