The price of gold is constantly increasing in the market of Bangladesh. The price of gold is being increased almost two days after the world market talks.

Bajus increased the price of gold in the country’s market twice in the last two days. A day after that, Bajus reduced the price slightly on Saturday. And after that today Sunday (April 21) the price of gold increased again.

Meanwhile, increasing the price of gold in this way is limiting the purchase of this precious metal. Due to the rapid increase in the price of gold, the use of gold in weddings has also decreased.

A review of price increase/decrease accounts shows that the rate at which the price of gold is increased, the price of gold does not decrease by the same amount when it is decreased.

As the price of gold continues to rise abnormally, many have called for a boycott of this metal on social media. One such person is Swadhin Khosru, a Bangladeshi expatriate in the UK. Sharing a picture of gold on Facebook, he wrote in the post, ‘Bhallagache, boycott gold.’

In the post of Sona ‘Boycott’, everyone expressed solidarity with Swadhin Khosrow. Parvez Ahmed writes, ‘I didn’t buy it.’; Afrin Tamanna Chowdhury writes, ‘I never wear gold jewelry after marriage plus marriage. I don’t want to buy anymore. If I have money, I will travel abroad.’ Haji Tutul writes, ‘Boycott should be done.’ Truthful writes, ‘Slowly it grew again.
Ridiculous Ridiculous Ridiculous.’ Amir Hossain Rana writes, ‘There will be no marriage again.’

Meanwhile, Fahim Musaddiq writes in his comments on how the rich class will take the issue of gold boycott, the elite class has never stood by the middle class and lower class in the call of boycott. Gold is a product of the rich, I will be very surprised if they boycott. Because the big people of the country have no shortage of money now.

In 2020, Bangladesh’s gold reserves were slightly less than 70 thousand rupees. And now the price of gold per load has been fixed at 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka. According to that, the country’s gold price has increased by 50 thousand rupees in 4 years.

Bangladesh’s gold prices have increased wildly when compared with neighboring India. The price of gold in Bangladesh has increased by about 46 percent in the last four years. On the other hand, prices in India have increased by about 17 percent.
