The price of each nomination form of the ruling Awami League is Tk 50,000, which is the highest among all parties. On the other hand, the lowest price is the form of Islamic Front Bangladesh, which is only 1000 taka. The party has sold 216 forms so far.
Various political parties are selling nomination forms to participate in the 12th National Assembly elections. The sale of forms of the ruling party Awami League has already ended on Tuesday (November 21).
The cost of these forms distributed to the aspirants varies from party to party.
For example, the price of each nomination form of the ruling Awami League is Tk 50,000, which is the highest among all parties. On the other hand, the lowest price is the form of Islamic Front Bangladesh, which is only 1000 taka. The party has sold 216 forms so far.
Compared to that, Awami League has sold a total of 3,362 nomination forms since November 18.
Another political party – Jatiya Party (Ershad) is selling nomination forms for Tk 30,000, which is the second highest price. So far the party has sold 1 thousand 179 forms. They will end the sale of forms next Thursday (November 23).
On the other hand, Jatiya Party (Manju) has sold 100 forms at the price of Tk 10,000 each.
These four groups have sold 5000 forms so far. Apart from this, Trinamool BNP distributed 246, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal 391 and Bangladesh Tarikarat Federation distributed 100 nomination forms. Not a single form of Bangladesh Supreme Party has been sold so far.
Apart from this, Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM) sold 100 forms at Tk 6,000 each. Bangladesh Islami Front has sold 216 forms.
