The police recovered the body of a person from Ali Baha tea garden in Sylhet.
The police recovered the body of a missing man who came to Sylhet from Habiganj to get his wife treated.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police Airport Police Station OC Moin Uddin said that the body was recovered from Ali Bahar tea garden in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased Sitesh Chandra Gop (46) is the son of Rakhal Chandra Gop of Ghosh Para of Habiganj Sadar Upazila.
Regarding the family, OC Moin Uddin said that on November 16, Sitesh admitted his pregnant wife to Sylhet’s Ragib Rabeya Medical College Hospital. His wife gave birth to a child through surgery on Saturday. And Sitesh went missing on Sunday evening.
He said that after searching in various places, the relatives filed a general diary at the Jalalabad police station without finding him.
According to the police, on Tuesday, locals saw the body lying in the tea garden and informed the police. Later, Seetesh’s brother Gopesh Chandra Gop went to the spot and identified the body. Marks of injuries were found on the body of the dead body.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
OC Moin Uddin said that initially it was a planned murder.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner Sadek Kawshar Dastgir and Assistant Police Commissioner Zahirul Islam visited the spot after receiving the news.
