Another person died after being beaten up while fleeing after a robbery at Shibchar in Madaripur district. Two people died due to this.
Madaripur Assistant Superintendent of Police (Shivchar Circle) confirmed this information. Golam Rabbani said that the name of the person who died under treatment is Achmat Ali Bepari Hasmat (45). He is the son of Rattan Bepari of Lakshmipur area of Hirachar union of Madaripur Sadar upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shivchar Police Station, Subrata Goldar, said that the locals chased the two people and beat them up after the robbery at the house of Delwar Howladar in Chalenama area of Banshkandi Union of Shibchar on Monday midnight. A person named Mirjan Khalasi (43) died on the spot. Another person named Achmat Ali Bepari was admitted to the hospital with injuries. He died at Madaripur Sadar Hospital while undergoing treatment at noon. Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, locals arrested two more people named Sagar Howladar (28) and Mostafa Kamal (65) from that area and handed them over to the police.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (Shivachar Circle) Md. Golam Rabbani said that there are several cases in different police stations in the name of the person who died while undergoing treatment.
