Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “Nothing can be achieved by burning people to death. Hope consciousness will return among the arsonists.” He said this on the occasion of Armed Forces Day on Tuesday (21 November) at the Dhaka Cantonment, at the felicitation ceremony of selected freedom fighters and their heirs.

At the event, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina awarded peacetime medals for outstanding contributions among 11 selected members of the armed forces (Army, Navy and Air Force). “Recently, arson has started again,” he said. He asked, “How can a person burn a living person?” Sheikh Hasina said, “This is wrong.”

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh said, “To achieve anything, people’s power is needed; One should stand by the people and work for the welfare of the people. Nothing can be gained by harming people, or, by burning people.”

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Sunday (November 19), “Terror propaganda against BNP, one-sided election strategy.”

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “Awami League is campaigning outside the country by blaming BNP for subversive activities. But, they are not able to succeed in that. The whole world has realized that the propaganda of terror against BNP is basically a one-sided election strategy.”

He said, to resist one-sided elections, people have united. And, puppet election commission, Awami League is continuing to make strong efforts to implement the election schedule.”
