Bangladesh Bank increased the price of each commemorative gold coin weighing 10 grams of 22 carat quality by 5 thousand taka. From now on each coin will be bought at 95 thousand taka, so long ago it was 90 thousand taka.

On Tuesday (November 21), Bangladesh Bank said in a circular that this decision has been taken to adjust with the increase in rates in the international and domestic markets. Gold coins will be sold at new prices from tomorrow, Wednesday (November 22).

According to the new decision of Bangladesh Bank, the value of the commemorative gold coins titled ‘International Mother Language Day-2000’, ‘Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 1920-2020’ and ‘Golden Jubilee of Independence 1971-2021’ has been revised.

Commemorative gold coins (with box) of 10 grams of 22 carat gold, titled ‘International Mother Language Day-2000’, ‘Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 1920-2020’ and ‘Golden Jubilee of Independence 1971-2021’ are sold at Tk 95,000 each. Rescheduled.

From last November 19, a bar of good quality or 22 carat gold has been increased from 1 thousand 750 taka to 1 lakh 6 thousand 376 taka. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been increased from Tk 1,633 to Tk 1,1,535.

Apart from this, the price of 18 carat gold has been increased by 1 thousand 399 taka to 87 thousand 13 taka. And the price of one load of traditional gold has been increased by Tk 1,225 to Tk 72,550.
