Body of unknown person found under Teesta bridge

The police recovered the floating body of an unidentified person from under the Lalmonirhat Teesta Bridge.

On Tuesday (November 21) morning, locals informed the police after seeing the body floating in the river. Later, the police of Lalmonirhat Sadar police station recovered the body. The body was wearing a black jacket and T-shirt inside. Police believe that the age will be 55 to 60 years.

Confirming the matter, SI Jahangir Alam of Sadar Police Station said that the deceased was wearing a black jacket but no pants but had a beard on his face. I did not find any injury marks on him. Probably fell from the bridge and stuck to the ground, the unidentified person is believed to be mentally unstable.

He also said that efforts are being made to identify him. The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue. The exact cause of death will be known after the investigation.
