Autorickshaw driver’s throat cut body recovered from Lalmai Hill

Police recovered the body of an autorickshaw driver from Adarsh ​​Sadar Upazila of Comilla. The body was recovered from Lalmai Hill of Hatigara in Kalirbazar Union on Monday (November 20).

The name of the deceased autorickshaw driver is Mehdi Hasan (12). He is from Bashantali Nowabari of Khoshbas North Union of Barura Upazila. Kasem’s son.

The accused is Nazmul Hossain (25), son of Nazeer Mia of Magon Bari of Ilashpur village of the same union. On Tuesday (November 21), the matter was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Barura Police Station. Feroz Hossain.

OC said Mehdi Hasan left his house in an auto-rickshaw on the morning of November 19. When Nazmul Hossain arrived in front of Ilashpur Chairman Market, he took a fare to go to the ink market of neighboring Adarsh ​​Sadar Upazila. Go to the ink market and tell the driver Mehdi that there are saplings on the north side of Hatigara cemetery of Lalmai hill, I will take them. As Nazmul and Mehdi are familiar with the village as well, he agrees to go. Nazmul first hit Mehdi in the stomach with two blows inside the bush. He fell to the ground and cut his throat. When the death was confirmed, Nazmul took his auto-rickshaw and left for his in-laws’ home, Daudkandi Thandin Gouripur. As he did not return home, Mehdi’s father found out that Nazmul had taken his son Mehdi’s autorickshaw. No one has seen him since he left. After complaining to the police station, the police arrested Nazmul from his in-laws house in Gauripur, Daudkandi. During the interrogation, he admitted the details of the incident. Later on Monday around two o’clock in the night, the bodies of the autorickshaw and Mehdi were recovered from the Hatigara graveyard of Lalmai hill.

We see in the CCTV camera that he took Mehndi alone. On re-examination, he admitted everything. According to his information, we recovered the body around two o’clock in the night. The body was sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
