Another person died after being thrashed while fleeing from a robbery in Madaripur’s Shivchar. With this, the number of dead stood two.

One person died while undergoing treatment around 2pm on Tuesday. Earlier in the morning, one person died on the spot in a public thrashing. The police visited the spot and rescued the injured and admitted them to Shivchar Upazila Health Complex.

The deceased are Mirjan Khalasi (42) of Sambhub village of Shibchar upazila and Hasmat Bepari (43) of Chiarchar union of Sadar upazila.

Meanwhile, Sagar Hawladar (28) and Mustafa Kamal (65) were detained and handed over to the police by the locals for suspicious behavior in the morning. However, the daughter of the deceased Hasmat claimed a conspiracy behind her father’s death.

In this regard, Mainul Islam, Medical Officer of Shibchar Upazila Health Complex, said that two people were brought to the hospital early in the morning. Among them, one died before being brought to the hospital.

Sadar Hospital Medical Officer Rashedul Islam said that a person named Hasmat Ali was brought to Sadar Hospital at noon. Originally he died before he was brought. After the post-mortem, it will be understood how he died.

SI Gulzar Hossain of Shibchar police station said, after receiving the information, we visited the spot and rescued two people in critical condition and brought them to the hospital. One of them died. Another person died on the way to Sadar Hospital. Two more were arrested with the help of locals in the morning. The process of the case is going on in this regard.
